A comforting thought for loners out there is that we are all essentially alone. We are all trapped in our bodies, forced to look at the world through but one pair of eyes. It doesn't matter who's lying next to you in bed. Or who's holding your hand. It doesn't matter how many other essentially lonely individuals you can gather around you for fleeting attempts at escaping loneliness. In fact, the more people you need to gather around you, the lonelier you essentially are. I'm going for stadium loneliness.
